ABOUT ME – TIFFANY CROCKER, L.Ac.
As a Licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist, my mission is to assist your body to restore health and promote harmony.
“Nurturing care, along with a personalized and skilled treatment is the most effective healing process”.
Healing practices have been a part for most of my life.
They have inspired me, helped me grow, and supported me in navigating life’s challenges. Today it is my mission to share these practices with you, so you can draw upon them to cultivate health, happiness, and harmony in your life.
As a child, I grew up immersed in my family’s practices of native healing arts. Both my grandmother and my mother grew herbs in their gardens and inspired me to learn about their healing properties as well as other holistic approaches to health and wellbeing.
During my senior hear in high school, I started my career in health care, working as a lab assistant. I went on to train as an x-ray tech, specializing in mammography, and then became a diagnostic medical sonographer.
Sonographers play a key role in helping diagnose patients by using their history, clinical information, and actually looking inside the patient. I had the great opportunity to work with some of the pioneers of sonography at UCSD and Kaiser Permanente, and then became a mentor to incoming students.
As a mother of two and stepmother of three, I turned my focus once again to the studies of natural healthcare. I found ways to keep my family healthy, and to cultivate harmony even in the face of challenges and hurdles.
I have also been a 4H cooking leader, introducing kids to different foods an teaching them how meals can be both healthy and tasty, and a fitness instructor training in hospitals, community centers, health clubs, and boutique studios.
Becoming an Oriental medicine practitioner was the next logical step for me in growing my understanding and my capacity to heal. I completed my masters program at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in 2014.
This medicine actually brings my whole life together: gardening, growing my own medicinals, exercise, qi gong, meditation, art, curiosity and creativity. I love that Oriental Medicine treats the body as a whole, and provides a way of life rather than a quick fix.
Some of my focus areas in my current practice are womens health, injuries and pain management, disorders of the ears, nose, and throat, stress, insomnia, GI complaints, and addiction.
Whatever brings you to my practice, I want you to know you’re in good hands, in a safe and nurturing environment. I want you to leave feeling relief of pain, more balanced, more positive and happy.
